That is pretty standard/cheap for a student housing place.

The $200/month for your room type of places are your normal apartments that were built in 1952 that are nasty and run down.

600 is fine for rent. But when you live with 3 other dudes it doesn't matter what you pay, it sucks. 3 other girls and it would be a bargain.

The barracks are freaking awesome, they have a damn wakeboarding cable park there. That being said, it's like a 30 minute drive to campus with traffic.

Barracks are very nice. He was probably living in one of the 4 bedroom, 4 bath units. $600-$650 a month for the nicer student apartment complexes with lots of amenities is pretty standard in CS.

I shared my room with someone (who luckily slept out in the living room on the couch) and I paid $120!
