Broncos Ownership followed with a memo to Kubiak...

"Gary, thanks for all you have done to get our team to this point. Everything you have done has worked, and bringing in Wade was perfect from a personnel standpoint. However, as you may or may not be aware, Von Miller is due for contract negotiations this offseason. We really need you to tone down the importance of him to this team, particularly in terms of leadership. Six years and $100 Million sounds a whole lot better than 6 years and $120 Million. Think of what we could do with the $20 Million!"
