That's just harsh.

Fascinating how he would be considered for jobs given his ineptitude! Seriously what AD thinks "yeah they scored a total of 3 touchdowns in the last few games, yeah good enough lets hire him"??

To be fair I think they would hire him for his ability to recruit. Then hopefully hire some coordinators who actually know what they are doing.

That actually makes some sense.

All talk about Spavital getting a head coaching job anywhere above the JC level is ridiculous and just needs to stop. His age (30) alone would preclude most programs for considering him even if he was competent. Sunny Cumbie is 34 and tearing it up at TCU and he hasn't even been mentioned for any HC jobs.

We may be getting rid of Spavital but it wont be because he's getting a better job.

For whatever reason, there is still some national perception that he is some kind of offensive prodigy. Listen to the announcers calling our games. A comment of that kind is made nearly every game. I don't get it.

Yeah that drives me crazy. He's been on an offensive staff that included Geno Smith and Johnny Manziel. No evidence that I can tell that he succeeded in either's development.

But hey its America and most all analysis is shallow in everything the so called experts weigh in on.

Uh, KK and Mckinney coached Johnny... Spav, not so much.

I misread this as a suggestion we should get Bob Toledo, carry on

I would take Bob Toledo right now over Spav.

Firing Toledo after the '93 season sent RC into an offensive quagmire that followed him until his firing.

Rutgers should bite the bullet and ask Schiano to come back.

I agree, the Holiday Bowl vs BYU was the one time I felt Slocum really cut Toledo loose and allowed him the freedom to OC the way he liked. The results were amazing that day

The offensive stats from our 1993 season were great. The timing of the firing was odd and we went through about 5 more oc's in RC's tenure.

Have you ever heard announcers say "this team has a ****ty OC"? No, the announcers are just like TexAgs staff members who don't want to upset the apple cart by calling people out and telling it like it is.
