There are many differences here, but one of things we shouldn't overlook is that Sumlin had his team believing they could beat #3 Auburn just two weeks later. We caught a few breaks that game, but he had the guys playing like they believed they could win.
From 59-0 to beating the #3 team in the nation at the time, that is tough to do. And those are the kinds of games that will have guys working hard every week. We lost to Mizzou and LSU but the effort was there, the belief was there.
Even when tu has been competitive they look like they are just afraid to lose. They look lost. There's no fire. They don't seem to really believe they can get it done. I mean they were down 16-0 early, but it was still very early. A score gets them right back in the game. Yet they already looked like they were down 50-0.
