Below is a Depth Chart / Needs List / Recruiting Tracker I made for the upcoming recruiting year:


For the first part, does anyone have any corrections to the current depth chart? Right now I'm less concerned with the exact pecking order unless I'm way off. I'm more concerned with if I missed players all together, got their position (I know many are flexible), scholarship, or seniority wrong, or something similar.

Also, for the "Needs" part -- anyone have any disagreement with the numbers listed? Ignore the listed targets for now -- that will be a work in progress through the season.

Offseason

Very speculative.

We have a ton of young players. Some will shine. Others will show they cannot play at this level. Somebody will get kicked off the team. Somebody will get injured. Somebody will declare for the draft that we did not expect. Somebody will transfer.

We will not know what we have and therefore need for a while.

I feel like we need another TE. I'm betting they'll be used more in our run packages to block and also for play action.

I can't believe you put McQueen down in the 3rd spot as 1*. Kid is easily a 6*, lunchbox bringing, tough-as-nails player that slays poon, shreds defenses, and parties so hard JFF only wishes he he could get invited.

First and foremost, we need to keep Little in the fold.

Wow. No love whatsoever for OP? Nice job, I thought. I'll take just about any real football content between Signing Day and the start of Spring Ball (second only to hotties).

That said, I'd say you're expectations of Kirk in year one are pretty lofty, no?

Nice job. Only thing I see is that you may need to move Kyler to MLB.

Nice work. Scholarship numbers will be tight for 2016, as I count only 15 players leaving (including Ifedi going pro early, Kaser and Bertolet). Unfortunately that 15 will include our entire projected starting offensive line.

The point isn't really to get the depth chart nailed down, the point is to see what bodies we have going into the recruiting cycle next year. Obviously there will be depth changes and position moves before the season, but I figured this would be helpful to see, roughly, where we are sitting right now.

Thanks man. And re: Kirk -- I suppose he's a bit high, but it wouldn't surprise me to start in our four receiver sets next year. I didn't think about it too much since this is mainly a body count with some loose projections thrown in.

Also, anyone have a list of all the true fish that played last year (or which ones redshirted)? I'm pretty sure the number was 14 that played, but I'm not sure I have them all right.

You need to replace Allen with McQueeny........as sideline chick hustler.

Oh, because it says need 3 under guard... Except we haven't signed a natural guard in the last two classes lol and I don't see that changing

Quite possibly the most productive and informative thing I have seen produced in the Zoo.

Dolezal and Lindblade are two walk ins that got some PT last year. They probably need to be added to the chart.
