Yes Lechler is great and well deserving of all of his accolades, but come on...

I won't weigh in on the ranking, but man, what a difference from 7-8 years ago. Our NFL numbers had dwindled and the names were not on anybody's list of recognizable names.

Bennett didn't make us look good last night when he very visibly jumped offsides in the final minutes of the superbowl. I was at a watching party organized by a co-worker, and somebody invited a couple of sips. Those jerks couldn't resist mocking us, even though it was a meaningless play at the end of the game.

Tannehill is nothing more than an average starter at this point.

As for current players I'd say toss up between Martellus, Von, or Michael.

I'm going off of how they compare at their position in the NFL. Von is definitely one of the best linebackers, Michael is one of the best DEs, and Marty B is easily a top 5 TE. While Tanny is a good QB, he isnt anywhere close to being one of the top QBs in the league right now. While Lechler has had a great career, I dont know how his numbers stack up to other punters right now.

All I know if Michael Bennett was a beast in the game yesterday...

Ryan Tannehill 9th best QB in NFL - Ahead of Romo, Rivers, Stafford, Flacco, Cam, Dalton. 2 points away from 7th overall passing Brady and Ryan.

Evans 11th best WR
Bullock 9th best kicker

You have stupid co-workers. Yeah, Bennett jumped (he wasn't the only one on that play), but he was the most dominant Defensive player on the field last night for either team. There was a point in the 3rd quarter when a lot of national writers were tweeting that he was likely the MVP of the game at that point.

Michael Bennett might be a special case because he hit Colt McCoy once and that along with a bit of confusion between Bennett and Kellen Heard among the more "memory challenged" Texas fans, means that they don't like him more than normal. I can say however, that nothing is more annoying than trying to watch an NFL game with "that guy" who is an Ag who knows and hates every player in the game who went to tu.
