Assuming we get Mack,

Is Mack good enough to be a dominant force as an 18 year old freshman like Garrett was last season?

Or, will he be another guy in the rotation with the other young talent we have at d-line?

It was a simple question of whether Mack would be an impact. I didn't know I was supposed to write a 50 page research paper on the kid. GTFO.

He is a very good football player, but I don't know that you will get the same impact as Myles had. It's much more difficult for a young player to play a lot of snaps inside than outside. However, I do believe he would be more talented than most of the guys we have on campus at that position.

IMO the best part about getting Mack (if we get him) is he would add much needed depth up front and keep Garrett from getting doubled up as much as he was last year.

Mack will be a better player, but not have as big an impact as he is a dt. But he would still have around 5-7 sacks and 15+ tfl

I can see him contributing a lot in passing situations where he can pin his ears back and use his quick first step to split double teams. I do see him getting the middle screen game run on him quite often because he gets up field so quickly and is too short to be able to bat down a ball lobbed over his head,

Garrett's the best freshman D-Lineman I've seen at A&M. My memory only goes back to the mid-90's, but still, those are big shoes to fill even if Mack's a day 1 starter.
