If it meant getting Malik and Mack?
quote:**** No. His firing shows you he was completely inept.
Yes. I don't think Snyder was a world beater coach, but he wasn't inept either.

No, I would rather Sumlin have handled this whole thing like he knew the hell what he was doing.
quote:Same here. I wanted him and Spav both gone, and would hate having another poor defensive year, but those guys and others they might have persuaded to come had the potential to improve the defense even with Snyder. Plus if we could lock them up for A&M, we could still get rid of Snyder the next year.
Personally I'm leaning towards yes, just because of the momentum swing.
On the other hand, one good defensive year and the recruits will start coming back. So I guess the question is whether the new DC can get us that year with our current personnel. Tough task with the LB and secondary we have...

Malik and Mack are two young kids who haven't played a down of real football. It looks like Malik won't play one for at least another year since he won't be suiting up against Arkansas.
We need the right hire. Two kids going elsewhere doesn't matter.

Depends on who we end up hiring.

but he wasn't inept either

Hell no.

Yes until he had some maturity to work with. He was working against Sherman's poor recruiting and very young players vs SEC offenses. I say keep him one more year....especially to keep Mack and Malik.
