Hell no.
Yes. I don't think Snyder was a world beater coach, but he wasn't inept either.

No. I like the guy, but it was time to move on. We did well with our DT last year, I think we will be ok in 2015 if our LBs stay somewhat healthy like they did in 2012.

Malik and Mack are two young kids who haven't played a down of real football. It looks like Malik won't play one for at least another year since he won't be suiting up against Arkansas.
We need the right hire. Two kids going elsewhere doesn't matter.

Personally I'm leaning towards yes, just because of the momentum swing.
On the other hand, one good defensive year and the recruits will start coming back. So I guess the question is whether the new DC can get us that year with our current personnel. Tough task with the LB and secondary we have...

Depends on who we end up hiring...if that ever actually happens.
Yes, without a doubt I would have kept Snyder one more year. We didn't just lose our best recruits due to this but we just let Texas get back into the game. A&M owning recruiting in this state is now over. People need to realize this.

No. Getting rid of Snyder shouldn't mean you have a bad hiring process. Either Sumlin really has no candidates wanting to come here or he's mishandled the process by stalling recruits and waiting too long for answers from candidates.

Very very true. Losing Malik sucks because we don't have any difference makers at LB but we vastly underachieved relative to our talent last year. We need better coaching a lot more than we need a couple more players.

That being said, this whole process should have been handled MUCH cleaner. Sumlin should have made the decision to fire Snyder mid season and had all his ducks in a row such that 2-3 days after Snyder was fired the new DC would be announced.
Uncertainty is harming our program. Uncertainty that is created by no movement in hiring a new DC. I can't think of another time when a big time college football program acted this way.

Yes until he had some maturity to work with. He was working against Sherman's poor recruiting and very young players vs SEC run-oriented offenses. I say keep him one more year....especially to keep Mack and Malik.
Would I rather have kept a coach that we KNOW wasn't doing a good job, or would I rather have gotten two 18 yr olds that MIGHT turn out and be great players for 2-3 years.........
