I literally got sick to my stomach when I saw that he agreed to go to auburn.

Not or only do we not get him, he ends up with a team we will be competing with every year.

Reminded me a lot of 7-8 yrs ago. I saw some posts saying we should go after Muschamp for our DC or even HC and then he ends up at texas.

I really see Muschamp there only a year or so there at Auburn. He seems like he really wants to be a head coach again.

Our chances of getting him were pretty slim. He has ties with Auburn, they have the talent to compete, and they really did open the check book.

He's an iffy coach. You have to try to lose at Florida. He'll fool people at Auburn: they have enough talent to make almost any coordinator look good. But he'll bust again as a HC.

Looking ahead two years, 50/50 on whether Muschamp makes Auburn better or worse.
He has a huge ego and it may be tough to keep it under control.

Coach Boom doesn't have the patience to be a long term HC.

Sure, he tried, that image of him snarling & gritting his teeth at the FLA QB was not good PR.

He could be sinking the ship in Austin.

Now, Auburn gets him, until he jumps their ship.

Be filled with joy this morning...all good things come to those who wait patiently. It was a good thing that we considered Muschamp, but it was not meant to be...and when we eventually announce the choice for DC, it will be the right choice and well worth the wait.

As an Auburn grad/fan, we know he at most will stay 2-3 years. Our AD knows this as well, but something needed to be done to stop the cycle of poor defenses these last several years. i know that y'all will get someone good. I think Auburn had an advantage over A&M with that fact he has ties to the school and it's close to home for him and his wife.

Because he basically is.

Look at every stop he's made. Even though he failed as a head coach his defenses at UF were good.

Just ts hate that he ended up in same division as us, even if it's just for a year or 2.

He will be there a year or two and then he gone. Can't you see the recruiting pitch?

"I'll coach you during your redshirt year, maybe, just maybe your RS Freshman year, then I am gone to HC somewhere else.....oh, and good luck with Coach Sweater.....he's a doozie...."
