This platoon business is not enticing to an excellent RB recruit. This coaching staff has enough history to show they will keep it up.

We need a new offensive coordinator who will run a real offense.

Just once before he transfers I would have liked to see Trey get 25 carries in a game. No way he would pick up less than 200 yards and would break at least one 50+ yarder.

Anyone know what his career high is for carries?

Whiffed on a block which got Allen sacked, which didn't help his cause.

Had some runs for losses, too. Are you psychic enough to tell when he's gonna gain positive vs negative yardage?

Let's just grab Muschamp for the defense and his offensive coordinator, Roper, for the offense. He wasn't a world beater at UF, but he would be better than Spav.

Trey also did quite a bit of dancing on subsequent carries in the game and lost yardage. Plus, he missed the block on the blitzing LB that led to a sack. I love the kid and all and I would like to see him featured a lot more next year, but he is inconsistent so let's not nit pick Spav on this one. Remember Trey's TD run was one of those inside RB plays that the zoo has been upset about because an inside running play should only be reserved for Carson.....right?

Execution, more execution, blocking the guy in front of you, and more execution trumps play calling......ALL.DAY.LONG!!

If ok state and or the Detroit lions only gave Barry Sanders 6 carries a game, 2 of them would probably be for negative yards and you'd be saying 1/3 of his carries lose yards.

He does suck in pass protection, which is why he plays less than the other backs, but that's our offenses fault, not his.

Trey on the inside handoff works quite often. Went for 41 yd TD in 1st. I did see the whiff on the LB that sacked Kyle - not good. I do think the play calling kept trying to run Trey to the edge on repeated plays - kept getting strung out and mostly stuffed. Did not remember seeing any DRAW plays tonight. Trey bolted vs Auburn on this call for big yards to convert a 3rd and long. Don't remember seeing it since. It seems when Aggies attack the middle of the field, other things open up.

Would like to see our backs used like an nfl team uses a three headed monster. You have you feature/goaline back (Tra) you have your change of pace back (Trey) and then you have your third down back (BWill) that can chip on a blitz but is still quick enough to run a wheel route if the d only sends 3-4 on the rush.

Hi Benny, for some reason Trey Williams ended up being the regular season leading rusher, longest run, highest average per carry, most touchdowns for season, with the fewest carries of the 3 running back committee. His pass protection for the season was just as average as the other RB's. Sumlin commented that his pass protection was good enough to be an Every Down Back! I don't know why you dislike him so much, but Numbers Don't Lie!

See observe, you're confused by my posting history.

I LOVE Trey Williams' talent and ability and would love to see him or another of our highly rated backs become more of an everyday runner for us. Our coaches seem to think they are too smart for bulk load running back duties.

But, there are a lot of fanboys that don't seem to understand a very factual reason for Trey not getting more reps than he does -- he has a highlight reel of whiffing on pass protection that cannot be avoided. It's been his knock for a long time and some people just seem to think that the 5 star he earned exempts him from that.

I wish he could play more, but I SEE reasons why he doesn't.

he missed a huge block that lead to a sack.

you can say what you want about him running the ball, and i agree we should run the ball more... but he cant consistently block for crap and that is a problem.

We sat him because he sucks.

Too many negative plays by him. He needs a big hole to be productive. LSU fell forward on every run. We slide.and fall laterally. They get 4-5 when we get 2-3. Though Carson is worse and at his size he should always get and extra 2.

I don't understand why Brandon Williams plays any TB. He does well in special teams, but he brings nothing to the table in the backfield.
