Why don't we run Hill or Allen? Are they not both athletic to run the ball? Most successful programs this season have a QB that runs. Any ideas anyone?

Did you see hill try to run the ball this year? Dude is a pansy scared of getting him. Multiple times he turned his back to defenders while running

Couple of reasons:

1. The OL is not that good.
2. The QB is not that good.
3. The RBs/WRs don't block so good.
4. Must. Sideline. Pass.

Why don't we run both coordinators ???

for this offensive air raid, they have the freedom to run when they want. You think the coaches will get on to them for keeping the drive alive???

IMO, they are so worried about the critics saying they are not "pocket passers" when they start running rather than sitting in the pocket and allowing for the play to develop. That applies when you actually have a good offensive line.

Didn't you see Allen running on every other play? O-line kept him on his toes

Sadly, this. Kenny doesn't run very well. IDK why but he runs with trepidation, is slow to feel pressure and slow in making his decision to run. Runs head up, shoulders squared, doesn't try to juke anyone, seems to keep looking for someone to pass to.

Wish he would have committed to his runs when he had to.

Didn't anyone see Allen run Saturday. I thought he ran pretty good. This kid has the potential of being great, give him a break he's 18yoa just coming out of high school and he has to learn. get of is back. Let him play out the season and take his shots, he ain't scared, he has confidence, next year he will be much better. Folks, we have to get past Johnny Manziel, he's gone and there most likely will never be another QB like him. He was one of kind likely never to be seen again. So let's give these younger kids a break, they ain't gonna be Johnny.

I would like to see 4-5 designed QB runs per game.
But I doubt we need to be doing that this week vs. Auburn...if KA
goes down, looks like Speedy in the wildcat...then we will see lots of QB runs.

Based only on perceived foot speed Allen looks quicker than Hill, who runs bulky and slow. I was amazed he had so much rushing yardage in high school. But that may just be the difference between HS and SEC.

If we want to run the QB, we should have recruited Deshaun Watson, the Clemson dual threat QB..

This is completely off the subject - does nobody remember seeing film footage of Bernie Kosar having to run for it when he QB'ed the Browns in the 80's. That was a helpless, hilarious sight - he looked like he was 100 years old. Great passer, frightful looking as a runner.

I actually thought Kyle Allen ran the ball pretty well on Saturday.
