They're right. our non conference schedule is a joke. I would rather go back to 11 games per season instead of playing an extra non conference cream puff. At least next year we have ASU.

They are sounding more and more desperate. Very predictable and it will only get worse. When the SEC West has 6 teams in the top 20 and the entire big 12 conference has 2... There is zero room to talk about any strength of schedules, conference or ooc.

When the sips play Bama, Auburn, LSU , Miss St. Ole Miss, SC etc in conference then they can complain about OOC schedules. They have the reverse problem. They have to make hay in non-conference because the Big12 is so weak. I didn't read the article, did they dog Baylor and OU for their very weak OOC schedule?

Arkansas becoming a conference game really screwed our OOC schedule. Hard to schedule a big name school at the last minute

This.

I know we're often admonished to avert our eyes from OB, much the same as we should not stare at the dead body when passing the wreck. Our weakness fails us though, and we often indulge our wicked passions.

These are our facts:

1) Our OOC schedule sucks.
2) Our coach and conference are a big draw for recruits and we are running circles around them in recruiting. As someone living in the moment or looking forward, who gives a sh*t about our OOC or our days in the Big 12 now?
3) We play in the easily the best conference and easily the best division this year.
4) We have proven ourselves once and will have to do it (at least) 5 more times.
5) Our conference will pull at least one, if not two into the playoffs.

These are theirs:

1) Their OOC is decent.
2) Their jury is out on their coach's ability to win a 10 game season in Austin, and their conference is struggling to stay relevant with fans, media, and recruits.
3) The BDF is 4th out of the 5 qualifiers behind the pitiful b1G
4) They have 2 chances to prove themselves against a ranked team (BU and OU). They could very well lose those games and be 2-4 in mid-Oct.
5) Their conference will likely put one team in, at best into the playoffs.

The "We are superior because you play four crappy teams and we play nine [well, maybe seven]" line of argument is hilarious.

I wish those guys would point out that we had a ten year deal with Arkansas before moving to the SEC, back when they had Petrino and didn't suck.

tu fans love their moral conference victories when ksu pisses away a game against auburn, wvu plays Alabama for a half, and osu dps the ball (literally) against fsu. It's like they love saying, "Yeah, every other conference ran a train on my wife, but she said my **** was almost as big as everyone else's. That means I'm just as good as you guys if not better. She may **** with everyone else on the side, but I'm married to her."
