That's not a bevel

Not a bevel.

It is indeed a bevel, of German descent, more commonly known as 3D shadowing in modern times. But they are correct, it isn't a bevel by today's standards... only in German history...

It's not like a posted this pic yesterday and this discussion took place in that thread already.

This is a woodblock. It has no bevel, but you can see the depth of the block because you can see the two sides in addition to the face. This is similar to the design of the T on that hat.



This is a stone slab, also seen from a similar 3 dimensional isometric type angle. The top face corner edge is angled off. This is called a bevel. If it is viewed from directly above so that you cannot see the sides but only the top face and the outer bevel edge, it will be a similar view to what the bevel shading on the Texas A&M logo is supposed to represent. HTH

I'm all about the block T, but I'll gladly take this over our current bevel.
