Gonna lose to a lower half B1G team. Not holding up the SEC.

They never should have been invited, IMO. They b ate not or never have been SEC material. They rode the coat tails A&M into the SEC.

You all will probably stone me to death for saying this, but OU would have been a better match for the SEC than Mizzou.

OkinTexas, remind me who won the A&M Mizzou game last year and who went to the SEC title game.

OU would have been a bad fit in the SEC because they have a small TV footprint and no national appeal unless they're in the national title hunt.

I agree that Mizzou in the SEC sucks though.

Mizzou 28 -13. Are you proud of that? And do you think based on that one score Mizzou is a worthy competitor the SEC? Sorry, I do not, but I respect your opinion.

Mizzou was good last year. With time and recruiting, they can be stout, especially if they're building with Georgia and Texas players.

Never under any circumstance underestimate the power of SEC recruiting... I mean, seriously, look what it's done for Ole Miss and MSU, and how quickly A&M's turned into a national power (and I mean that in every sense of the word). In short order, TAMU will be a juggernaut on the level of Bama and... well, no one; those two programs will be in their own stratosphere, and then there'll be everyone else.

And in the pack right behind them will be Mizzou. Their potential is not to be dismissed, especially when you factor in that they've been stout in recent years without the benefit of SEC recruiting cachet. Just wait on it: theirs is a five year plan, whereas ours tumbled forward three years ahead of schedule.

I don't have a beef with Mizzou, I kind of like them. I just don't think they are an A&M quality team, YET.. Key word being YET. Your facts about recruiting with the SEC moniker are just that, facts. And it will make a big difference in Mizzou's success moving forward. When I spoke of OU being a better fit I think the first thing that came to mind was geography as much as anything. And culturally, Oklahoma as a state is more of a Southern state than Missouri.

But none of this really matters. Mizzou won the lottery and are in the SEC and I say good for them. I hope you fare well in the conference.

Right now, OU has some serious issues to deal with in Bob Stoops looking the other way while thugs jump on board the Sooner ship. I'm not happy with that at all and if it's true, he needs to go.

Good luck Mizzou.
