They are really excited about their RBs, but I would take the Ags backfield combination over any one else in the league except for Alabama - and that would be a close one.

My Arkansas FIL hates me, not only because I'm Catholic, (Baptist Bible Belt) but more so because I'm an unabashed proud Aggie.

Lived there during string of Jerryworld losses and it was miserable……thank the Lord that I don't live there anymore!

I watched their red/white scrimmage (whatever it is called). This is what I took away from it.

They have 3 qbs. Two of the qbs are brothers. One will be a Jr and the other a red shirt sophomore? Of all of their qbs, the very best one is Rafe Peavy and hes a true freshman. They may very well red shirt him but they may not... i dont know. My guess is that they will start the older brother because he was the starter last year I believe. The irony is, of all 3 QBs, this older brother (his name is Brandon Allen, I just looked it up) is the worst of the 3.

Rafe Peavy was going up against 1st string Defense with a 2nd string offensive line. He was getting NO protection at all. That brings up another point. The arkansas offensive line has NO DEPTH! Their starters are decent and the 1st string D-line is good! Actually their front 7 are pretty impressive. Their secondary tends to blow coverage/assignments. The secondary has the ability to make the "great" play and does but then coughs up a home run ball.

The Arkansas RBs are the strength of the team. Flame all you want, they're RB corps are actually better than ours. All of their RBs seem to have the every-down, running back size. Theyre also very, very quick/fast. I watched them run fast, hard through many holes too. Collins is their best back and thats not to take away from the others because they're all really damn good. But Collins I believe was the #1 ranked RB in the nation outta HS. Either way, he's a man child.

The Arkansas WRs suck. They also have a TE, I highly doubt the kid was 1st string. But he was severely undersized. 2nd or 3rd string?

The future looks better for Arkansas. I feel they will play a lot of people competitively but they wont finish the season much better than last year. Maybe a game or two better if the ball bounces their way.

I would think it is pretty easy to stop badass RBs when your WRs, OL, and QB all suck.

Well, a lot of them hang their hat on staying within 2 TDs of the Ags last year and the Ags losing JFF, Evans, and Matthews. However, we ran the ball in 2nd half and made them like it. I think we did that mainly because they seemed intent on ending JFF's career with cheap shots (e.g., Wise tackle on JFF just before half with the accompanying dance). We also lost our senior DT for the year in the 1st half.

As for the Allen brothers, they both won state titles for Fayetteville. Austin (RS Fr) is probably the better talent, but Brandon is likely to start. Peavey is a true Fr from a small MO town. There are posts all over Hogville about how "complex" Bielema's offense is for a QB. I don't see that, but it is a built in excuse.

Collins was really good against non-conference opponents, but only average about 55 yard/game in SEC play. I don't think he has the speed to be a real homerun threat. He is a good back, but he gets caught from behind on long runs.

We should win the game this year and for the foreseeable future. That isn't A&M homerism. That's a fact.

Every razor back fan I know, which is like 3, thinks the hogs are going to be in national championship hunt every preseason. They are by far the most optimistic/ delusional fans I know.

Collins ran for over 1,000 yards as a true freshman. He also ran for 382 yards versus ranked opponents. He had the best stats of all true freshman running backs last season. He has a long lists of accomplishments/awards in his first year of college football

The biggest joke is the Drive Time Sports...used to be Randy Rainwater, Rick Shaeffer, and Ray Tucker.. I think RT retired. Not sure if it's still on...but you should hear the idiots that call in the show. Now, Forrest City Joe was fairly knowledgeable. But these people really do think they're in the hunt every year.

Next to sips, hogs were one of the most annoying fans.

Say what you want about Collins but he's as good or better than anyone we have.And I was really hoping we would have got him.

Without JFF and because of the way our defense played last year every team thinks they will beat A&M this year. Truth be told A&M fans just hoped the offense would have the ball at the end of the game with a chance to win.

Just remember this about their knowledgable fan base...when they hired john l. Smith, they thought it was a perfect hired at the time. They predicted a double digit wins for that season. Oh, it's rather funny that John L Smith has more conference wins than BB.

I agree that Collins is a good back, but I am not willing to anoint him beast status. Breaking down his season:

Non-conference: 86 rush, 481 yds (5.6)
A&M / Auburn: 32 rush, 208 yds (6.5)
6 other SEC: 82 rush, 337 yds (4.1)

So, he is an above average SEC back that piles up yards against sub-par defenses (non-conference, A&M and Auburn).
