Whe has Dustin been the guy to be clutch. He hasn't. Ya the boy has skills, but when it has been crunch time he has made mistakes. Since it was more than one time last year I take it for a habit. He is not clutch. Reggie, if he can stay healthy we all no he should have a big C tatooed on his chest. We are very lucky to have two guys that can push themselves to a very high level of play. I guess only time will tell.

Sure Dustin made some mistakes last year. But so did Reggie. In fact, Reggie was lucky that he did not have a higher interception ratio than he ended up with. Now, they are both a year older. Do you not think that their skill level has improved ... both of them?

This talk of starting Reggie chants when Dustin is in is borderline booing. Are we becoming the maroon sips?

I remember Dustin leading some key late drives to take the lead against tt and mizz only to see the defense let them down. Were there late interceptions? Yes. But if you have to go to the well that many times, eventually you will get burned. Quit bashing Dustin. We are blessed with two very capable qbs.

I hate to say it, but there was a precedent set for the chanting for QB's from the stands. Back during I believe '87 or '88, when Lance Pavlas and Bucky were competing for the starting job. I distinctly remember lots of chanting for Bucky to come in when Pavlas would screw up and I recall the reverse when Bucky made some mistakes(throwing of course) chants for Pavlas to come back in. But in the end Bucky won out and the rest is history.

But the chanting for the QB not on the field has happened before it wouldn't be a new thing at Kyle field.

I know we have two very capable quarterbacks, but yet we have only one special one who if develops can be great. Being a student I know the excitement thats stirs involving Reggie. I would bet that 90% of the students want Reggie and the chants will come. Everyone knows Dustin is capable, but as an Aggie Fan I can speak for many that we want more than a capable one. We yurn for the amazing and only Reggie can do that. Reggie will be our quarterback next year, only those of you trying to be nice, say that Dustin will. Dustin could do the job, but the outcome is inevitable.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that everytime Dustin is on the field and starts messing up, the student side will be chanting for Reggie. I hope I'm wrong.

X-Ray vision no, but understanding reality, Yes. No where in my post did I say anything worse than Dustin being a capable QB and did I ever say anything about me leading the chants for Reggie. Did you not go to the games last year! It is inevitable whether you or I like it or not. I could care less about anyone chanting for Reggie. I too would rather hear everyone yelling "Wrecking Crew" or something directed at our offense. You are obviously ignorant or deaf to what will happen. Which one is it? So I want you to stop the chanting when it starts. And might I add: When you become as knowledgeable or as good of a fan as me then say something meaningful.

As far as RedassAg04's comments, The last statment is what everyone needs to learn. Support the Aggies as a team and not the work of individuals.

As to the idiot statement, it may be out of line, I don't know, but to state this early that the Reggie chanting will begin as soon as Dustin makes a mistake, is kind of out there in the Bob Eucker seats.

I like both quarterbacks, and will support whoever comes out. But, before we dismiss Dustin and crown Reggie we have to remember that Reggie only had ~ 4 good quarters where he played well last year... 2 against Oklahoma, 1 against Baylor, and 1 against Missouri. I am a Reggie fan, but he still has yet to prove himself to be ready to take full control of our offense.

I happen to agree with clutch...

Dustin had a hard time beating out Farris (also a record breaker, if I am not mistaken). The fact of the matter is records at A&M are not all that hard to break (where QB's are concerned).

IMO, Reggie will have a SIGNIFICANT impact this season with Long taking a back seat, or we will probably not see him through another. After having the shirt removed, he will ensure that the program is supporting his future. When millions of dollars are involved, this whole "team" concept takes on a different hue. It would not surprise me one bit if Reggie has laid it all out on the table (NFL implications) for Coach Fran to chew on...
