Took the kids down to CS today for the track and field classic, so I thought I'd take some pics. Pls bear with me. I have never inserted images before. They are still uploading, but there will eventually be 23 images.

























Also found these from 1979 vs the hogs, I think. Sorry for the poor quality, but it was rainy, and I was just a lttile kid with a crappy camera. Still, you can see 3rd deck going up.

Great pics! I know this is just structural now but on the renderings the towers looked much more integrated into existing east and zone. Maybe they'll be connecting them somehow or throwing up a facade to hide the gaps.

Thought same thing: August will be here in no time. Better put it into overdrive.

Will the new stadium look like ass? The more popular renderings smooth over a lot of the Frankenstein elements, like the gap between the northeast stands and the east stands.

You need to wait until the sheetrock goes up before you get all bent out of shape.

Very interesing.

A few observations and questions:

1. That steel structure for the North East Tower is impressive. They should be able to throw up the South East Tower pretty quickly.


2. Are they going to remove the bleachers and put in maroon seats like all of the renderings?

3. Between the North East Tower and the corner of the stadium they are going to fill the space in with a mini replay screen and loge boxes. It will be interesting to see how that comes together.

4. The exit ramps really came down fast after they mastered how to remove them the right way!

5. They are taking their time with the South End Zone.

As for the artist renderings, all exposed concrete is a bright white - not the dull exposed concrete.
