In recent days, communication between TexAgs and Waffle House has brought to light the fact that Waffle House is hesitant to expand their market 50 miles beyond current Waffle House locations. The easiest solution to this problem is to build not one Waffle House location, but two.
As of today, Google Maps shows that there are at least two locations currently in Conroe. Using this location as a point of reference, the most logical expansion of Waffle House would be to Huntsville, TX (35 miles from closest location). Looking at Huntsville, there are quiet a few positives to establishing a Waffle House branch here. For one, Sam Houston is a growing institution with nearly 18,000 undergraduate students. Additionally, the city of 40,000 is located on Highway 45 which is a major route for travel and freight between Houston and Dallas.
Once a location is established in Huntsville, a location can then be established in College Station which is little more than 50 miles from Huntsville. With a larger population and student base, it makes economic sense to create a branch in College Station now that the 50 mile rule has been met. With two locations, Waffle House makes twice the profits and A&M can officially be accepted into the SEC.
