Started due to Frogs. I will root for Frogs in memorial of this tradition.

Saw 'Em Off was started due to the Longhorns. Should root for the Wronghorns under this logic.

Chinese stool was started because of their diet. What are we to do with that?

The 1930 TCU pep rally may have been the origin of the hand sign (although I always heard a different older explanation when I was a student), but people confuse that with the origin of "Gig 'Em," which is much older and has nothing to do with frogs.

Heard being "gigged" also has a military meaning when your uniform doesn't meet regulations & an officer notices.

This. It has nothing to do with TCU.

You hunt frogs by "gigging" them with a long stick with a sharp point on the end. The saying Gig'Em Aggies was started before playing the Frogs and was a reference to stabbing them with a gig.

Actually, A&M had played TCU twenty times BEFORE 1925. My whole life I have heard nothing from Ags a lot older than me that it WAS due to the Frogs. What else would make sense?

Think about it...that would be a stupid reason to come up with a saying to BTHO your opponents. It would be like saying "Let's mess up your uniforms, Aggies".

Our Gig 'Em saying is the oldest in the old Southwest Conference and later on the Hook 'Em, Wreck 'EM, and Sic 'Em sayings were created to follow our lead.

It has to do with having a straight gig line on your uniform
