Okay, so I got to thinking that we should send Akita home with a care package... something to remember Aggieland by. I will be taking pictures, as I'm sure others of you will be throughout the day, but I thought we should send him home with something to remember the adventure by.

We've already got the t-shirt taken care of, and I've got a SEC-ede bumper sticker for him.

If you're okay with it, Akita, I would like to get you to sign a couple of fence pickets so maybe we can auction them off at next year's TexAgs Tailgate, from which the proceeds would go to a variety of charities and scholarships.

If you TexAgers have some ideas, suggestions or thoughts, let's make this happen!

Okay, another thought...

What would you all think about getting together someplace at a designated time to snap a picture together. Then we can get one printed off and framed for Akita? I think it would be pretty cool, and go down as one of the coolest pics in TA history? It could be somewhere like the front porch of the Chicken, Sully, E. King Gill Statue or wherever.

Thoughts?

He'll have to go home with one of the Dixie Chicken Chugger Mugs. That way he can show all those t-sippers how real men drink. 32 oz at a time.

Also be carefull about the cheerleader pics...OSU has some very nice ones.

As I posted earlier in the ticket thread, I can get the fence prop (and rocks if you really want them) that Akita made for his BBQ back to Akita for him to take to CS with him.

He sent some individual pickets with me as well for future use at random Aggie events if it worked out, but I'm not sure how many. No time like now, if yall determine a place to set it up for signatures, etc.

This all assumes we can get it in your truck in a way that will survive the trip, Akita.

milkman00: Lets do it. My truck does not have my wheelchair plates on them. Only the Disabled Plates. I have my wifes cell phone tomorrow as i have a couple of clients i have to take care of tomorrow. Spending money for saturday. After that I am free to go out to where the props are at and load them up. I am now officially leaving Austin at 5:45 am to get there by 8am. Remember I have know idea where I am going in college station. So I will need exact directions to the spot to drop the props off. I will not be able to park in the handicap parking with my truck as it does not have the wheel chair on the license plate. So I will need a spot that is close by. Plus taking my truck is great. I have an 8ft bed to lay out in to sleep off the beer. OOH and by the way. My wife saw the posts and people wanting pictures. Geuss what she is making me do. I have to get a haircut tomorrow and be clean shaven for the pictures. LOL thanks guys.

hell yea i do...i'll wash mine today and bring with me sat. the chicken will be first stop in town. i think that would be the best place for Akita's day to start. Grab a beer in a laid back bar, then BOOM, Hello Aggie Tailgating, Hello 12th Man, Hello Aggie Band and Corps of Cadets, topped off with BTHO osu.

I am down for anythging now. I am brining my truck. Just need parking where the cops do not mess with me when I am stretched out in the back of it. This is going to be epic. That's a little earlier than Akita and I discussed, but my girl and I will make it work! However, I don't think the "Kickin" Chicken opens until 9 unless someone says differently. I'll call around to see what time the bookstores are opening up to look for goodie bag stuff, but regardless, even if I meet Akita at 8, I can show him around campus a bit while things are chill, then we can mosey on over to the Chicken at 9.

Akita, you will not sleep in the bed of your truck. We will find you a place to sleep if you have a good time Saturday.

Akita: My house is in Houston, and there is no way we're making it there, but TexAgs loves you, so a decent night sleep on a couch or a strange bed is better than your truck bed! (Don't argue me on this!)
