I was in Dallas last week and went into Dick's and Sports Authority. Niether one of them had ANY A&M gear. NONE!!!! Only ut and zero u.
I did ask a salesperson where the A&M gear was, and at both stores I was told "We don't carry Texas A&M gear". I spoke with managers of both places and expressed that I would never shop there and that I would post this on TEXAGS and hope NO Aggies will ever shop at these places.
TEXAGS knows stuff!!! Ban these places.

The secret steps to rectifying this situation:

Step 1: Win 10+ football games per season
Step 2: Win Big 12
Step 3: Win Major Bowl Games

If these steps are followed precisely, A&M gear will fill the shelves. Until then retail stores are free to market whatever products they want.

Quit whining to managers, it just makes A&M look bad.

Go see my buddy Pablo at Student Union in the Galleria. He's a Tech grad, but he's got plenty of A&M stuff. He will carry whatever sells.

I was at the Dick's Sporting Goods at The Parks mall in Arlington last Friday. Plenty of Maroon stuff. I picked up a cap and 2 tee shirts ...

back in the day (80's - 90's) most places carried pretty much 50/50 tu/A&M stuff.

I was in a Dicks Sporting Goods about a month ago and there wasn't any A&M stuff to be found. All they had was Ga Tech, Georgia, Hawks, Falcons, and Braves...........of course..... I was in Atlanta.

But still!!

Not that there is an overkill of aggie stuff here, but you'll notice that the only orange stuff is on the bottom rack off to the right, and there ain't much of it:

I was at an Academy in San Antonio. They had very little Aggie stuff. Tons of that ugly burnt orange crap. I asked why they didn't have more A&M stuff and was told (by a t-shirt sip) "burnt orange is so much prettier." I told him that then I guess he didn't need my business at this store. Other stores in SA do have about an equal amount of the two. But, I do believe that IF YOU DON'T ASK, THEY WON'T CARRY IT. So I intend to keep asking any store that has tu stuff (aka Sam's) why they don't carry Aggie things.

Dicks in flowermound has more TCU and OU stuff than a&m. I go to academy and buy more gear from them.

I don't know which store you are going to, but last time I checked the Dick's in Plano/Frisco in Stonebriar sells A&M gear.

I have a friend who owns a store that deals in high-end sports merchandise, and I complained to him about the lack of A&M stuff in his store. He got some more stuff in, and I was pretty happy.

Cut to a year later, and he told me that A&M was his third biggest sealer in the store...after SMU (who they market to) and Mavericks gear.

As long as it's not some t-sip working the store, they're usually pretty good about getting A&M stuff in. The Academy in Dallas has a ton of A&M stuff.

There's really no excuse for not carrying gear from a major Tier 1 university with 135 years of rich history and tradition, a currently very prominent athletics department, and a rabid fanbase when the stores are in the same state.

I don't buy from either place because they SUCK! Nothing to do with Aggie gear. In other news, as stated before, winning cures all.

Come to a home game. Buy your gear in College Station.

I thought that everyone knew the reason there's so much vomit orange crap in the stores is no one buys it. Aggie merchandise moves off the shelves as soon as it appears. In fact, there's a shortage of maroon dyes making it really hard for merchandisers to keep their stores stocked.

which Sports Authority were you at?

I was at the one across from North Park Mall just a week ago and they had lots of Aggie gear.


Their lack of FC Dallas gear that I was looking for while having Landon Donovan and Barcelona jerseys did irk me though.

The Dicks and Sports Authority stores in Dallas are the worst sports stores I have ever been to.

You will have better luck going to Foot Locker in the mall.

We buy all of our Aggie gear online in the Big D.

The reason that they carry more sip stuff than Ag is because when they run 50% off items sales, they will have something to sell.
