Every sec school has hot cheerleaders....I've got no problem continuing with our awesome Yell Leader traditions and having cheerleaders on the sidelines jumping up and down doing flips! I want our own Hotties Thread!!!!

Cheerleaders are useless for any team. Plus they have more guys than girls on cheer squads now a days. What I don't get is why you idiots care about having hot chicks on the field when right now those hot chicks are in the stands sitting right next to you.

OP touches on one of the cons of SECcession. The pros and cons have been repeated on here by critics and supporters of a move. But membership in the SEC, which I am for, will bring some culture changes to A&M. Maybe Cheerleaders. An increase in fraternity and sorority membership is likely.

Look what happened when we tried to put a dance team on the court(basketball games). I am embarrassed that they are put on television to represent A&M. None of them can dance and there are few that are eye candy. I had one of the dancers in class last semester (one of the chunkier ones) and she honestly thought they were the best dance team in the Big XII. I laughed because I thought she was kidding, but she was dead serious. I have a feeling we would all be sorely disappointed if somehow we did get cheerleaders...

How is getting cheerleaders getting rid of tradition? It is simply adding a new wrinkle, not getting rid of anything. If we could field attractive good cheerleaders I am all for it. I would also still want to keep the yell leaders. What happens if you do not cater to the time period? You get passed up and no one wants the old dog. Is this University based off tradition? Yes. We all love that about it and we do not want to rid ourselves of that tradition. However, those who are afraid to add anything such as cheerleaders will be the end of this school if you cannot open your eyes and see past your narrow minded completely naive views

I think we should have the yell leaders still do what they do, but have some sort of football dance team like we have for basketball.

No way on cheerleaders! I don't want to market our school as a diverse place full of hot girls! I want everyone to think we are strictly pimply military dorks! It's good for our reputation and recruiting!
