All of us at TexAgs.com are extremely excited to announce that a new era in sports talk radio is on the horizon in the Bryan-College Station area.
Starting on Monday, August 22, TexAgs.com will host a daily show on SportsRadio 1150 The Zone! The "TexAgs Radio Show" will air Monday through Friday from 9-11 a.m. and will be 100 percent focused on coverage and discussion surrounding Texas A&M sports.
Former SportsRadio 1150 The Zone personality and current TexAgs reporter Gabe Bock will serve as lead host on the program. He'll be joined by fellow TexAgs analysts Billy Liucci, Logan Lee and Brandon Leone. Additionally, former A&M football players Hunter Goodwin, Seth McKinney and Zerick Rollins head the list of former A&M athletes that will serve as regular experts on the show.
The program will originate from the TexAgs studios in downtown Bryan and will not only air live on The Zone . it will also be shown live on video exclusively for Premium subscribers at TexAgs.com. In addition, special segments within each show (features, interviews, etc.) will be re-produced individually in on-demand, podcast form on the TexAgs website.
We are thrilled about partnering with SportsRadio 1150 The Zone and are eager to get started in our quest to provide a daily, Texas A&M-centric radio show to the people of the Brazos Valley and online for Aggies everywhere.
While we understand that doing a two-hour show solely committed to Aggie Athletics is a daunting task, being so narrowly focused will allow us to dive deeply into conversation, opinion and analysis when discussing Texas A&M sports.
Details on this new venture, including a layout of what the show will look like during the fall, are forthcoming. But we hope that you all will support TexAgs.com in our latest and perhaps most challenging attempt to push the envelope and continue to grow and expand our already supreme product.
Thanks,
Brandon Jones - TexAgs President

Special message from Gabe Bock
A dreamer. That describes me in a nutshell.
My parents always encouraged me to find something that I love to do and try to make a living doing it.
Because Chip Howard gave me a chance and offered me a part-time job at SportsRadio 1150 The Zone in May of 2004 . and because Louie Belina gave me a chance to start doing interviews later that year and really grow as a reporter from scratch . I've been blessed to be able to make a living doing what I know and love: Talking about and writing about sports! I owe so much to both of those guys for how they mentored me early on in my career.
I am so excited for this next phase of my professional life and for a new phase in our company here at TexAgs. Bryan Broadcasting -- the parent company to The Zone -- knows radio as well as any company out there, and they are one of the very few locally-owned radio groups remaining these days. I have so much respect for so many people at Bryan Broadcasting, starting with owner Bill Hicks and general manager Ben Downs. I won't name everyone because I would not want to leave anyone out. The truth about Bryan Broadcasting is that it's a family. Nothing corporate-feeling about it, which is very rare these days. Much like TexAgs, actually.
During my four-plus years at Bryan Broadcasting -- specifically at SportsRadio 1150 and NewsTalk 1620 -- I was blessed by the experience that I received and the amazing relationships that I was lucky enough to create. And now, it's somewhat of a "homecoming" as I assume lead host duties for the all-new "TexAgs Radio Show" that will air each weekday morning from 9-11 a.m.
I have no idea what this radio show will look like five years from now. Heck, I might not even know what it will look like in five months. But one thing I know is that we at TexAgs will get after it in an effort to make this show fun, entertaining and highly informative for you, the Aggie fan!
The show will VERY RARELY feature a single host talking into a microphone. We at TexAgs fully believe in the staff that we have and in our team of experts, and we're fired up to put our guys on display. And on top of that, we plan to bring on expert contributors from names that you know . former players and fellow media members, alike.
Aggie Football is the driving force behind any sports-related entity in Aggieland, and that will most definitely be the primary focus of the program. But our plan is to cover Texas A&M sports from top to bottom. That means that we plan to dive into deep discussion about all sports, including interviews with A&M coaches and players.
We also plan to talk in depth about A&M football and basketball recruiting. That means a lot of Liucci, Leone and Lee breaking down recruiting on a continuous basis.
Now is more important than ever to be a TexAgs Premium subscriber because that will be the ONLY way that you will be able to access our shows on demand. If we do an interview with R.C. Slocum or Jackie Sherrill or Mike Sherman or top-flight recruit Matt Davis, we'll pull that interview out and post it with video at TexAgs Premium. You would not be able to find it anywhere else so if you miss something live, you just be a Premium subscriber to be able to gain access to the show.
One final note . I will be transitioning a bit in terms of my duties with TexAgs, as hosting the radio show will be a huge task and a very difficult challenge. But a lot of what you guys see will remain the same. I'll still be covering press conferences, knocking out a steady flow of player interviews, providing in-game content such as running threads, etc. Some of my late night writing duties will be relieved (doesn't mix well with a morning radio show) but most of what is being taken off of my plate is stuff that you guys don't know that I handle anyway. So I fully believe that you will notice a dramatic increase in the quality and quantity of content being provided -- as if our staff could produce any more content -- and I don't see there being a drop in even the slightest of ways.
We're inviting you guys to dream big with us as we dive into this amazing journey. Your feedback is welcome. We have set up an e-mail address specifically dedicated to the show. Here it is: Radio@TexAgs.com. I will be managing that e-mail address so feel free to e-mail me at any time if you have a question or concern, or if you have an idea regarding how we can make the show better.
I'm so excited for this and I hope you are as well!
Again . the first show is Monday, August 22 at 9 a.m. We hope to see you there!
Gig 'Em,
Gabe Bock
