I don't doubt that the coaches are good evaluators. Problem is a lot of the guys they "evaluated" to be the best and were offered early on, picked other schools. That's recruiting.

Byrne has no say in whether we go SEC. That is above his paygrade.

In a way that statement to me does not rule out SEC it says we have to wait to negotiate.

Byrne is not saying anything here. He's been asked about the sip deal, and says he's doing nothing. Other Big 12 admins are, not him. Because he doesn't know what he has to sell. Really? Is the new Fox contract going restrict all of the other Big XII teams from doing anything similar to the sips? So they have a monopoly? Naahhh.

SEC is still in the mix. Byrne is trying to keep from tipping his hand.

I have been a big fan of Bill over the years (see previous comments) but his whole schtick about tu interlopers and infiltrators almost pushed me over the edge.

We have tu's AD worrying about ESPN and 300 million dollar TV deals while ours is worried about bat crap at Kyle and whether tu's fans are "infiltrating" our courtside seats.

We are paying this man a lot of money!

Bill, here's the reality for you: start worrying about why we're down 25 at halftime, causing people to leave, and NOT who comes to fill the seats.

Sheesh, that's just embarrassing.

He is doing exactly what he's most suited for.

Most of the other "big time" AD's are wheeling and dealing over multi-million dollar long term tv contracts, and pushing for more and more exposure for their university.

$bill is whining about the seats behind the home bench at a blowout basketball game.

As far as his Tier 3 TV deal, he'll have all the bugs worked out by the year 2050 or so.
