After looking on the website and seeing what a men's 10k ring (no diamond) would go for at $935 it made me wonder: what did you ring cost when you got it? I'm stunned at how much it costs now...

I'm c/o '02 and I think I paid ~$400 for mine.

And does the AFS pay for part of it or is that rumor?

I paid $441 for a 10k men's ring with no diamond. Ordered it in the Spring of 2003.

And the AFS paying half thing is nothing but an urban legend.

i lost that one and bought the replacement for 934 (!!!) dollars in january 2010 (but at least ring day was on my birthday!)
