yea "bowl week" has effed up everything

College Football is great. I enjoyed watching Idaho and Bowling Green. Not that I care who wins, but I love watching College Football.

I like the FLA State/WV game just because it's Bowden's last. Also PSU and LSU could be a great game.

I'll watch bits of the Rose and Sugar.

Very disappointed that the Cotton Bowl isn't on today...

I love the games, but not the matchups. The BCS has ruined at least 4 bowls for me, as I am not excited about any of the BCS matchups since TCU was screwed into playing Boise. But hey....I'd rather have this than Congress prying into the private sector even more...(no sarcasm there, I mean that.)

There's always the Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular on NBC if you don't want to watch football.

Maybe Texags should have a Skating forum.

CFB shouldn't drag out while people have to return to work in the new year. And it's especially ridiculous to have the International Bowl, the Valero Alamo Bowl, the Papajohn's.com bowl, the Autozone Liberty Bowl, and the GMAC bowl after Jan 1.

Today should be the big finish. Now it's just another day in Bowl Fortnight.

so does that mean yuo will not watch them...I dont really care about any of the games as far as who wins(although i was rooting for Northwestern, Penn State and Florida State and will be pulling for Ohio State and Cincy tonight)..but when today is all over I will have watched more than 14 hours of college football....thats a great day

Bunch of whiners on this thread, especially the OP.

I've been watching football since 10AM, flipping back and forth watching 2-3 games at a time and there have been some VERY entertaining games today!

outside of the opening Saturday, this used to be the greatest day to be in Vegas and bet games.

Now, it is barely worth the trip. Too many bowls trying to get too much attention.

Let's get a playoff going..

Dont have the tv on. Mom and Dad would be so shocked, but I USED to care about the big New Year's Days bowls. They matched top teams usually, and high publicity ones.

The entire BCS mess has ruined that. Since they stuck TCU not playing a BCS team, there is not a single match up I care enough about to even look up who won the game.

Might as well be watching pro ball--and I HATE it.

Can't wait for the Jan. 6th GMAC Bowl between Troy and Central Mich. All kidding aside, could be another Idaho-Bowling Green game.

Proof that most college football fans are so close minded and likely only watch their own conference.

This is the same attitude I hear when I visit Tennessee, Georgia and Florida every year.

The Auburn/NW game was AMAZING...

Penn State and LSU was another crazy shootout worth every second. It was fun to watch LSU fail.

OhioSt. and Oregon is looking to be another hard fought struggle of a game.

You guys just have preconceived notions of what a good match-up is.

all the games today have been great

the Outback Bowl between NW and Auburn was one of the most thrilling games on the entire season

the Capital One Bowl between Penn State and LSU went down to the wire

Bobby Bowden coached his final game today and his Seminoles defeatred W Virgina in the Gator Bowl

the Rose Bowl is shaping up to be a dandy as well as Oregon leads Ohio State by 1 in the 3rd

then later tonight you have a david vs goliath matchup in the Sugar Bowl with Cincy and Florida

if you cant enjoy college football on a day like today...you simply are not a fan of college football plain and simple..watch a reality show on VH1..thats probably more up your alley

Why the insult? I have NEVER claimed to be a football "fan" of the type to watch games I don't care about. I watch Aggie games--or listen to them on the radio. Never miss one if I am healthy. But I don't care about the East coast schools. Never have and probably never will. I don't care about the Big East as a conference or the Big ten. I see NO reason why I should boost their ratings and do anything to improve their tv money--so I don't ever watch their games.

I don't watch random football EVER. Never claimed to.

I watch the SWC schools. I either love or hate them.

I watch some teams I have always followed--Miami, the Florida's, Boise State, Fresno when they are on tv, and I have always like Colorado State. I followed BC when Flutie played. I was a huge fan of his.

I won't care if Purdue or Michigan even field teams.

Sorry.

I love high school football also, but again ONLY when I have a team to root for. Not just to watch some people I don't know play the game.

And I never watch pro ball. I find it boring.

But I am NOT insulting anyone.

I thought the bowls were better when they had traditional conference tie ins. I dislike the big ten so could always root for the west coast team in the rose bowl.

I always disliked Nebraska, so could pull for the team they faced in either the sugar or the Orange.

But those days are gone.

I will watch TCU on Monday night. That might be it. Unless I watch the Tech game just for the gossip value.

wow...thats a pretty long and in depth criteria for which teams you watch..maybe you should have a cheat sheet you whip out before each game to see if you should watch it

as for me.. I just watch football...of course I love and watch all A&M football...and have a higher interest in Big 12 teams

but again..I watch all football

and I love HS football as well...but again I dont have to know someone or have an affiliation with the team...during the HS playoffs I usually find a game to goto in my area if its a double or triple header thats even better. I made 9 HS playoff games this past fall to go along with the 11 regular season games I attended.

I've been watching college football all day and have loved every minute of it. Even though Florida is blowing out Cincy, the other games have all been good matchups with exciting finishes.

The Northwestern- Auburn game was d--n good game. But I love college football.
