i know this isnt football related but i figured this is the board that most people look at so i ask... when applying to tamu, what is the easiest major to get in to?

Is the corps a major?

Say your are interested in the corps no matter what. Geology needs numbers right now so that may be your best bet. Be sure that if you get a call and they ask you if you are still interested in the corps you say yes, I said no, they said thank you, and I got my rejection letter two weeks later, after I thought I was in on Blinn team. You never have to commit to the corps but always seem interested. Moral of the story focus on grades in high school and you won't have to spend a year at TX state like I did.

well im on blinn team right now and just got rejected from english and rpts while one of my friends with about the same grades got in to ag economics so i was wondering what i should apply for next time... i dont care what major at this point, i just want to get in

Oh this is definitely football related. After a quick scan of the media guide, I'm pretty sure the correct answer is Agricultural Leadership and Development.

go to the academic board... the advisors actually check it and will answer your questions about that type stuff

Yeah, I would say many ag majors, geology, or of course poultry science. Football related because Ag majors might end up managing pig farms and footballs were once made of pigskin.

The answer is inorganic chemistry. It's a piece of cake.

man i just want to go to a&m to be honest... i plan on being a fly fishing guide when i graduate, i would just like to be an aggie...my dad went there and ive rooted for them my whole life. i guess i could always change majors once i get in

the core curriculum for geology is the same as engineers (same math, physics, and more chemistry). Geology is not in need of numbers, they're actually a little over full. A lot of kids think that they'll get big jobs right away in the oil business so they're all jumping into geology.

Geology and the other geosciences (meteorology) are very tough majors, it all math, physics.

I've heard for years that some of the ag programs are easiest to get into. Ag Eco and Ag Development.

What about Recreation and Parks? With what you want to do it seems that might be your best fit....it's always been considered to be one of the "easiest" majors...and probably something you should look into...jmho.

University Studies - I don't know if it is even accredited yet. But it is in the Agricultural Leadership & Development department, or at least they share a lot of classes.

Ag Leadership and Development, but warning, if you are applying as a transfer you can not put Ag Leadership and Dev as a second choice, they will reject you. You must put it as a first choice and I would recommend an essay dealing with why you want in that major. If you have a 2.5 or better, you will probably get in.

If you are a guy, get into elementary education. They are always looking for more men. Thats how I got it.....and now im a pre-k teacher (but thats what I always wanted).

Well since you wanna guide fly fishing I suggest you check out the RPTS Department. Rec, Park, and Tourism Sciences.

Anthropology.

As a person who got BS and MS degrees from A&M's Geology department (and then PhD at UC Berkeley), I can say with zero hesitation that it is NOT an easy major. In fact it is one of the most difficult, incorporating all of the other scientific disciplines (physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics) to solve Earth science problems. Geology is not "Rocks For Jocks".

I'm thinking it definitely isn't English in regards to the thread title written by the OP.

General Studies

AGEC.

AGLS is easier to get into than AGEC, but once you are in AGLS, you can switch majors to AGEC.

Poultry Science worked for me.

Try Chemical Engineering...they will take anyone. I also hear the business school is quite easy to transfer into.

I'm in mechanical, but was initially petroleum because they have pretty lax admission requirements by comparison.

i took anthropology and thought it was kinda hard-

This is what my degree is in, whith two minors, history/sports mgmt. Will I use it in everyday life? Perhaps history and some of the management, but not really. That being said, I don't think this major is around anymore, but I could be wrong.

To the OP, Poultry Science or anything AG, remember it's the college you need to get into. I'm surprised you didn't get into the liberal arts college as that's what I originally transfered into and I had a 3.1 at Blinn. Good luck man.
