It’s not facilities, it’s not academics, it’s not tv time, it’s not the coaches slick tongue, or any other BS – it’s almost always the exact same mechanism that sell hats in a mall.
I would agree with that to a certain extent. BUT, school location, school's ability to recognize talent, and relationship with recruiting coach/head coach have an impact as well.
That said, the name brand factor will always be a disadvantage for us against Texas. (YES, I know, I know "every" tshirt fan in the 80s-90s liked A&M over Texas).. But crap, I see more Texas stuff around the country than probably any other school.
