SMU's was the worst. In the 60's opposing bands could play while the other team had the ball as long as they turned down the volume a little during the snap. SMU would play Farina, I think it is, for FOUR hours. Oh, God, the humanity!!!!
(I don't know if that was legal to play like that, or just allowed if it wasn't too disruptive. It seems like it was several years later that the refs started calling a penalty on the bands, so I think the rule changed somewhere along the line. Some of you rules dweebs probably know.)
Col. Adams never wanted to play while the other band played, but against SMU he played a LOT. At least we didn't have to hear SMU's crap while we were playing.
And, sadly, we lost to them a lot, too.
