Shumard has been playing a little at the tackle spot, but that was when Vince was still in the lineup at guard. They like Frost at tackle with Shumard at guard combo better. It was pretty obvious by his technique when he first switched to offense that Vince was a defensive linemen trying to play offense. I don't mean that by the actual position change, but by the difference in technique.

People in the media keep saying that our defense will be suspect in part because we lost our top 2 LB's from last year. No one seems to remember that neither one of them were very good. We haven't had decent LB's for years. At least this year it looks like we have some actual talent there, although moving Chavis to TE is a head-scratcher.

I agree 100% with this. I think if fuller is even half competent in his routes he'll start from day one. IF no other reason for the fact that he's one of the only pure receivers we have on the roster. All others are either palyers moved from other positions or quality WR's that were made into glorified o-linemen
