This might be a long shot but I think that Trent Walters would be an excellent Defensive Backs/Secondary coach. He was the A&M d-back coach from 1991-1993. 1994-2001 with the Minnesota Vikings. He is now the secondary coach for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was my next door neighbor in MN when he was with the Vikings. He absolutely loves Aggieland and said he would like to come back some day. He coached here at the same time as Sherman and I wonder if he is a candidate for any of the openings.

His son Troy played WR at Stanford and now in the NFL, correct?

Ya he went to A&M Consolidated and then went to Stanford. He plays for the Lions.

now THIS is one name from the past I CAN get behind. no doubt, a great DBs coach. dont know if it would be in our budget to get him back as a DBs coach. i'm thinking an NFL position coach probably makes $250-350K per year maybe?
