I got a hangenschnitzel from Schwarzwalder. It's nice being back home for a while long enough to pull its' weights.

We liked different elements from different clocks, so he made one for us based on what we liked and shipped it to us.
Similar to this one, but with a buck, doe and fawn instead of boars.

I have one inherited from my parents, who lived there in the early 60s. It hasn't worked in years, but I still like to look at it.
We are going to Germany next year for our 25th anniversary. The Black Forest is part of our itinerary. I might just come home with a new clock, or have one shipped home more preferably.
I'm in Katy. But thanks for the rec.AgFrogfan said:Cinco Ranch Aggie said:

Very cool, Congrats on your silver jubilee!
If you happen to be located in the DFW metromess, I highly recommend Mack at the Clock Shop in Weatherford. He's repaired a few clocks for us including our cookoo. Excellent work for a fair price.

We celebrated our 50th last year by doing a Danube River cruise. We found a small Black Forest Alpine clock shop and a bought a custom very ornate clock. The wife always wanted one, so happy anniversary! They shipped it to us, but it took a few weeks, because manufacturing was shut down for summer break.
