I won the Rifle Shoot in boot camp over 500 guys. 200 yards with Springfield O3A3 - standing, sitting,

and prone positions. 21bulls eyes out of 30 shots.

Was tied but i had more bulls eyes.

We were both from Austin. What were the odds?

Never tried the 03A3.

How are the sights? My first service rifle was an M14.

ok But while aiming I raised my thumb. The recoil caused my thumb nail to rake across my cheek

causing an abrasion which took a week to go away..

I won a 3 day pass which my big mouth got cancelled. Anyway, what can you do with a 50 dollar pay

less 18 for a war bond.
