Curious what the German strength was at Arnhem vs Einhhoven?
Did the British division that suffered heavy causialties compared to US divisions have resupply issues as well as being outnumbered?

Arnhem was where an entire SS armored division was refitting, The drop at Eindhoven was between the front line and the refitting area, there were fewer Germans nearby compared to Arnhem and Niemegan.
There were two SS armored divisions refitting in the Arnhem area when the Brits dropped in.
9th SS Hohenstaufen and the 10th SS Frunsburg. On the second or third day, the Germans overran the re-supply drop zone.
There were more than few indications before the drop that something bad was waiting in Arnhem but the warning signs were ignored. Another Montgomery underestimation of a resilient enemy

Thanks. That explains a lot. I did not know there were two divisions of SS.
