25 Years ago yesterday, Capt. Thomas Clifford Bland, Jr. Class of 86; gave his life so we could be free. I only knew Cliff for a few semesters, but he was the epitome of what an Aggie should be.

Only met Cliff once and wore a band for him when he went missing - but everyone who knew him well spoke highly of him

I knew cliff very well. Many may not know that he was both a Yell Leader and a TKE Fraternity member. I don't think there have been very many of those.

I used his tickets to attend the Arky game in Little Rock in 1986.... fast forward to 1991 , his AC 130 was supporting the Marines with 2nd LAI probing the Iraqi lines in Kafji. I was with the Marines in Kuwait in '91.

He was a hard charging fun loving Ag. He would not want us to be sad, he would want us to raise a bourbon toast to his life and legacy.

He would say BTHO Notre Dame!
