Does anyone make their own yogurt? I've recently started but haven't perfected it yet but getting there. It's supposed to have many benefits, I have experienced some but just curious if anyone has good techniques and/or recipes?

I haven't tried it, but sharing my favorite instant pot page that is really good with how they test their recipes. They have a yogurt recipe with hundreds of positive reviews.

Sous vide
1. Heat milk to 180 degrees medium heat stirring occasionally to prevent burning
2. Cool to 110 degrees
3. Add unflavored/no addition yogurt from store bought yogurt labeled as live active cultures to a small portion of the milk (less liquid makes it easier to distribute yogurt in liquid)
4. Add to 110 degree sous vide water bath in mason jar with finger tight lid.
5. Leave for 5-10 hours depending on how sour you want it to be
6. Strain whey to desired thickness (optional)

I make mine in an Instant Pot with the Yogurt button.

1. Heat milk to 185F
2. Cool to under 100F (I do room temp - ice water bath goes faster).
3. Add your starter. I used to make dairy yogurt with half-and-half and did 1 cup of Dannon Whole Milk Plain Yogurt per gallon of milk/hnh. (I make nut milk "yogurt" now.)
4. Ferment for 10-12+ hours. 24h will virtually eliminate all of the lactose... it is pretty tart, though.

Enjoy!
