Stretch Labs Experience

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I had my first experience with a Stretch lab facility. 50 minutes of loosening up all the hip flexors, calves, hamstrings, etc that I've neglected in my 40 years. I have dealt with sciatic pain off and on forever and its really been flared up the past few months. I'd been stretching on my own more and more, its no where near as intense or productive. When we were done and I stood up I nearly cried cause the relief as so noticable after just one session. I don't feel that good after massages honestly.

I felt so good and limber I instantly let them sucker me into the 3 month promotion plan for weekly visits.

Anyone else have experience with Stretch facilities? It's a bit pricey to continue long term, but wondering if anyone else has been going a while and what a maintenance schedule has been successful at staying loose without breaking the bank. I'd like to do this intensified 3 month program and assume I'll continue to see more relief and flexibility, then go down to maybe a monthly visit.

It was 50 dollars for an introductory class. 50 minutes. One time visits are like 100 but they offer discounts if you get a membership.

I've convinced my brother and my parent's to try an initial visit. We'll see what they think also.

I did it for 6 months and loved it. I can't remember what I paid, but I did a monthly package of 4x25 minute sessions and I would often book 2 back to back on one day to make a 50 min session and just go twice a month as that fit my schedule better. I found that to be the most cost effective approach.

I dropped it because we moved or else I probably would have continued. It was really fantastic.

Yes. I wore sweatpants and a t shirt. Just something that isn't restricting like jeans. And you have to have grip socks, which they sell, or Urban Air socks work great too.

What are the qualifications of the people who work there?

Very little training. Some call them stretchologists. I know a few places in town and have done some marketing with them.

Then the places are a no-go for me. I'd rather not run the risk of being hurt by someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

The likelihood you will get hurt being stretched is quite low. I don't think it is a big deal. Are there more qualified people out there? Sure. If you have an actual injury i would go see a physical therapist.
