Looking to see what posters on this forum use for fitness watch/trackers. Read through some of the old threads about fitness trackers but most of them were >2 years old so wanted to get some updated thoughts.

Just FYI on what I'm currently working with...I bought a Fitbit Charge 5 late last year. Worked great for the first 6 months or so but as of late the heart rate tracking has been awful. Works fine when just walking or extremely light activity but anything that gets the heart rate up causes the watch to be unable to get a reading about 60% of the time and most of the rest of the time it's highly inaccurate.

Will be 100% dependent on what you will be using it for and what featuresyou need/want. My Fenix 6 is way overkill for most people.

I think it depends on what you are looking to do. Running and biking I think Garmins will be the winner. Rock solid platform and watches for all the different outdoor stuff.

I think the Apple Watch is really stepping up with its offerings. Lots of functionality outside of being just a tracker and integrates with a lot of other services like Peloton, Tonal and its own Apple Fitness if you are into the indoor thing.

I don't need a ton of features really. Decent app where I can input workouts and accurate heart rate monitoring takes care of 90% of what I need. Charge 5 has the features I want I'm just struggling with the heart rate tracking. I have a certain heart rate range I try to achieve during my cardio and when it refuses to register anything it makes it hard to know that I am in that target zone.

My charge 5 stopped working last week & I just got a replacement. They are very good about honoring their warranty. I suggest doing fitbit help chat & getting it replaced. Unless of course you just want something different. I was hesitant about the charge 5 because of reviews that the gps would drop. I have not had that issue.

Garmin has good, cheaper options for those that don't want all the features. Like the venu or vivomove lines.

Very happy with my garmin Venu 2. It's a good all-around option.
