3 of my family members take NP Thyroid and my goodness, the cost for a 90 day script has virtually tripled over the last 2 months. It was an alternative to Armour as a better option at a lower price point but even Armour has gone up drastically too. What the hell is driving this cost increase?

So, my doctor has responded and said it's all a cash grab by the pharmacies and insurance companies are taking it off as a formulary drug. My hatred for all things medical continue. Insurance and drug companies rank up there with pedophiles and wife abusers in my eyes.

As a pharmacist, I can share your disgust for insurance companies and drug manufacturers.

What strength and quantities are you filling for? Is it processed through insurance? I can see if my pharmacy is able to help.

You can thank the government & the inflammation reduction act. It will only get worse. Better hope you & anyone you know doesn't need treated for cancer as our costs are about to go through the roof.

Thanks, Congress!!

As a physician I concur. And would like to add medical administrators to the list.

So, Just getting back to this post, I tend to go back and forth between self-pay and insurance. I learned a long time ago that just because you have insurance it's not always the cheapest way to go. My normal stuff is NP Thyroid 60mg and I get a 90 day prescription,

So, in general, all the prescriptions my family fills at Kroger have gone through the roof.

the independent pharmacy where I work (Memorial area) charges $109 cash for this. I can even mail it to ya, if necessary. Let me know if this helps. PM me. I don't read this board much at all and just happened to see your topic
