Heard on a podcast that if you can do this it puts you in the top 1-2% strongest people on the planet. Who can knock this out and whats your weight. Im 195 and got bench and DL pretty easy, id have to test that squat.

I'd be in the same boat as you, almost same body weight. Squats are always my weakest lift.

Bench and squat would be easy for me, no way I could get deadlift with my normal double overhand narrow-stanced routine. Always been my worst.

I don't really lift weights anymore but the bench would be easy; squat a little tougher; can't remember the last time I dead lifted so not sure about that.

Also, that 1-2% is just a wild guess. No way for anyone to know that.
Let's go, Brandon!

Just go sumo and double your deadlift capability immediately
(I can't stand the sumo DL)

I can do it, pretty easily, actually. 5'10", 162 lbs as of this morning. Maxes of 225 bench, 300 squat, 385 DL.

Not being overweight helps. I pretty much dropped weight until my bench was over body weight.

Weight: 159
Bench: 165
Squat: 255
Deadlift: 320

Just about exactly in line with those numbers.
My DL and bench were always weaknesses, my squat is a bit better.
Big question is, how many unbroken reps can you do of 75% or 90% of those weights. That can vary a lot from person to person. There's strength, then work capacity aka applied strength.

I don't ever 1 rep max anymore, so hard to say what my maxes are. I'm 5'11 195lbs.

My calculated 1RM for each lift based on what I rep would be:

Bench 275
Squat 375
DL 375

Although I think I'm probably slightly weaker in each of those lifts than what is calculated.

I mean I guess with all the women, children and third world countries, your stat doesn't shock me, but I can pull it off as a consistent cross fitter.that's still like 80 mil capable or whatever the Math is

I'm 185 lbs and bench 225 for sets of five; deadlift 325 for sets of five; squat 225 for sets of five. Not sure what any of that equates to on a one Rep max.

Given the general state of health and fitness in this country I wouldn't doubt those figures are too far off. I'd also imagine your average adult can't do a single pullup or complete 10 real pushups.

I don't have the DL's.

I gained about 20 lbs since covid year but it doesn't look like bad weight.

Weight 192 lbs
Bench 305 (11.1.22)
Squat 315 (11.7.22)
DL guessing about 350 since that's been my max for years.

I'm a crossfitter but for the past 2 years I may average 1-2 workouts a week tops. Recently I've started lifting more because of the lack of motivation. I usually start a workout like 5X5 and if I'm feeling good, I'll go for a max. Now, I tend to work out only about 2-3 times a week consisting of squats and the occasional bench & back workout. It's nice to see my numbers go up without much work.

You should easily get that. If you're doing sets (plural) at those then I'd imagine you 1 rep is somewhere like 285+ bench press, 285+ Squat, and 375+ DL.

5'9", 165# currently. I can do it. Deadlift is my weakest between the three. I haven't maxed in two years, but then I was 315 bench, 405 squat, 420 DL at 170 lbs. I'm probably a bit weaker right now at 165.

I feel good then! 227 lbs, bench 305, squat 400, deadlift 450.

Trying to get down sub 20% bf, 25% now, so hope to keep those numbers.

For a man, unless you are a cripple or morbidly obese, none of that is hard to do. People are just soft.

What about your Ironaman guys? I'm sure a lot can't but I wouldn't call them soft.

I'd think most guys can't do this. What's the average guy ~200 lbs? Benching that is probably a no go unless people normally lift.

Disagree. I'd venture to say a large percentage of high performing runners (Boston Marathon) or triathletes (Kona, etc), or swimmers or sprinters could NOT do it. And those guys are FIT.

Yeah he's off. Just go out in public. It's obvious that people cannot hit these markers. I work with a lot of beginners and people getting back into fitness. They're nowhere near these benchmarks.

The average male weighs 200 pounds. No chance in hell a high percentage of men can DL 400 or squat 300.

His take may be a little extreme, but his conclusion is correct. The vast majority of people are just soft - physically, mentally, and emotionally.
