How long do you want to ignore this user?
The wife and I are looking at investing in a good treadmill for our Christmas gift to each other. We're currently using a ~10 year old Weslo Cadence G 5.9, so pretty much anything would be an upgrade. We definitely want one with a mechanical incline (our current one only has folding feet).

I've seen the Sole F63 or F80 and the NordicTrack 1750 recommended lots of places. It looks like the main difference is the screen between those brands. Both offer a subscription service, but I can't tell if you MUST subscribe to use them. I've also see the Horizon brand treadmills that don't require a subscription.

I'm not necessarily interested in something with a subscription, but I do enjoy the programs where you can watch the trail while you're running. Not sure if that's something that is only available with a subscription. It seems like "live trainers" are all the rage right now. I guess I don't understand those completely, but I assume it's just pre-recorded videos. That's not necessarily important to us.

Ultimately, I'd say the most important feature is we want something with a decent amount of programs that adjust for speed and incline automatically. Ideally the user could set them based on desired time, distance, or calorie goals.

Lubbock is about the nearest town where we could test out equipment, but Academy is about the only place here that sells equipment. And they don't have much to choose from.

Is anyone familiar with a certain brand and model that fits what we're looking for?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Sole ST90 and you don't need a subscription to use it or the basic program stuff. It's been a really solid treadmill in the 4-5 months I've had it. I had a Sole F83 I got ages ago and it was solid for a decade before the belt started getting all wonky.

Can definitely recommend Sole. It's a good machine.

Something like a Horizon 7.0AT is just $1000 and is very solid but cheap cause it has no screen. But you can get a 40" tv real cheap and use that instead especially since you can position it however you want . I use Kinomap for virtual train running.
