My FIL is currently in the hospital for additional tests with what they think is A-Fib. Apparently his old cardiologist retired and his GP has not been doing much routine monitoring/testing. Anybody have a recommendation for a good cardiologist in San Antonio or parts North and/or West. He lives out near Bergheim between Boerne and Bulverde.

My MIL just saw Dr. White, l like him. There is a thread on the San Antonio board with recs for cardiologists.

Yeah, I saw that thread right after I posted this. What is Dr. White's first name, and where is he located? TIA

I see Eric Stocker and really like him. Been going over 10 years. Lots of fantastic cardiologists here, though.

I really really like Jorge Alvarez, too.

I've known a large percentage of cardiologists in SA and really feel like 98% are extremely competent and have a good bedside manner.

There are really only 2 or 3 I can think of that I would definitely avoid but I won't mention them unless asked specifically. Even they are probably competent, though.

All this man ever did for me was save my life.

Dr. Ryan N Bourne. He offices next to NE Baptist Hospital. 210 646 6556
