Anyone ever used any vegetable type supplements? Tough for me to get my veggies these days.

I get about 2-3 servings each day from a "veggie shake" I take to work and drink each afternoon. Without this shake I wouldn't be getting the number of vegetable servings recommended each day. I usually add a variety of veggies and then something to make it taste better (ex. lemon juice, cranberry juice, a small amount of berries, etc). It's a pretty large cup (32oz I think).

My vegetable intake is usually:
Breakfast: 1 serving in my morning shake
Lunch: nothing (no fridge or microwave at work)
Afternoon: 2-3 servings via my "veggie shake"
Dinner: 1-3 servings via home cooked meal

I don't know if that helps you, but it works well for me.

you may get your vitamins and minerals, but youre missing out on fiber, which is super important and beneficial for health....

I usually advise people to eat theur fruits and veegtables if possible for this reason.

I change it up. But typically:
Spinach/kale (majority)
Bell peppers (small amount)
Beets (small amount)
Carrots (small amount)
Some sort of juice or small amount of berries (sometimes a whole apple or kiwi)
A tiny amount of flax, chia, or hemp seeds (to get some fat to help the vitamins/minerals absorb better)

If we have vegetables that are about to go bad, I add those (ex squash, zucchini, cucumber, mushrooms, asparagus, etc). Sometimes that tastes bad.

Today I did spinach, carrots, and a very small (won't be able to taste it) amount of mushrooms and asparagus. Then added some lemon juice and pomegranate juice to make it drinkable. By adding juices like that I find it is tolerable to drink and doesn't add too much calories or sugar.

It was a bit gross when I started doing this (about 6 years ago), but it doesn't bother me at all anymore. I actually strangely look forward to it now...

It's like a suicide from a soda fountain as a kid. If you get all the right things in there at the right proportion, it's pretty okay. If you don't, then you just have to grin and bear it and act like you like it, because it's a weird combination and you just have to own it.

Haha. Pretty much. But after a while you just kind of get used to it.

How do you have the time to do this every day?!

It's just part of my routine now. It takes me less than 5 minutes to make the shake in the morning. Then I just sip on it throughout the afternoon. It doesn't really take too long.

It's probably not for most people, but it's the easiest way I have found to get those extra few vegetable servings.

And as far as shopping for ingredients -- I use Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods delivery. So I pretty much just re-order the same stuff each week and have it delivered. So grocery "shopping" takes only about 5-10 minutes each week.

I saw Kaged Muscle was coming out with this supplement soon. I might check it out but my guess is that it'll be over priced but I might give it a try.

It's because you aren't prepping them properly or not cooking them properly

Honestly one of the easiest ways to add vegetables is cooking something like stir fry. Can make super flavorful dishes and make veggies taste great too. Another option is changing the way you cook them. For example steamed veggies are nothing to write home about, but roasted broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and green beans are awesome. Get some asparagus and wrap it in prosciutto, then roast it, grilled asparagus is good too. Saut spinach in olive oil with garlic and red pepper. You can roast cauliflower and then dip it in the hot sauce of your choice.

5 handfuls chopped kale
3 handfuls chopped spinach
Handful frozen grape/cherry tomatoes
Handful baby carrots
Handful blueberries (or other berry)
Handful cubed apples
Half avocado
Tbsp or so Apple cider vinegar
Tbsp ground flaxseed
Tbsp collagen powder
Add enough water so it'll blend

Scoop pea protein powder and blend until it's just mixed in, if you add protein in the initial blend it will aerate the entire smoothie and make it more to drink.

If you buy pre chopped spinach and kale, baby carrots, grape/cherry tomatoes there's minimal prep work. The only thing I have to do is once a month buy a couple of pounds of apples, cut them into slices with an apple slicer, then cut them into cubes/toss in water and apple cider mixture for 10ish minutes then lay on a parchment line cookie sheet and freeze.

Avocado I scoop into a blender, add juice from however many limes come in a bag, then fill silicon ice cube trays and let freeze.

Put those in a freezer bag. Smoothie is just going to my deep freeze and grabbing stuff out of 7 bags, putting it in a blender jar, blending for 1 minute and then blending again for another 10 seconds. Takes less than 5 minutes to make.

It's about a 64 oz smoothie and doesn't taste bad.

Wife and I started taking Athletic Greens this month because we felt like we weren't getting enough greens either.

We were concerned about the taste, but it's not bad at all. It doesn't mix as well as we'd like, but overall, we don't mind drinking it.

Wife and I both like it.

Pretty quick to drink in the morning. 8 oz of water with 1 scoop of greens. They give you a bottle that does a decent job of mixing it, though it can be a bit gritty. If you've taken whey power before, it's not terribly different.

Taste wise, I'd say it's mostly has a slight pineapple taste. I'm pretty picky and don't have any issues with the flavors.

Two things i've noticed. Both could be placebo, but I didn't necessarily know or expect them.

First, it really has helped me with the morning brain fog. I didn't not expect this, but it's a nice perk to be alert soon after drinking.

Second, There's a clear boost of energy. The instructions say to wait 30 minutes before drinking coffee and it's never an issue and I sometimes forget to get my coffee.

Otherwise, I will say that I've felt pretty good and not had any negative side effects that I can tell. I wish I had gone to the doctor beforehand to get a baseline, but will be curious to see if there's any tangible improvement as I take it longer.

So overall I like them and will continue. I wish I had gone to the doctor before to see if there was any

I like Athletic Greens a lot too, and I think they work pretty well for me. Also, have a look at Canada Pharmacy for some other supplements which you might find interesting. I am sure that you will like them a lot too, good luck!
