Dude. 8 miles here. 8:30 on first mile, and cranking out 7:25 on the last one with gas left in the tank. Just focus on how good you feel after mile 3. In weather like this, my half marathon pace is faster than my 10K. Power through!

It's just easier to get up and get motivated when you're beating the heat. When I stepped out and saw it was 38 this morning, I considered wrapping up in a blanket and going back in.

I agree that it's harder to get out of bed when it's cold. But the benefits of running in the cold vs heat far outweigh it for me. Knowing I can run over 1 min faster per mile and it feel easier is all I need to not ***** and get out of bed.

Been a ****ty two weeks of back problems but got good news at the doctor today. No idea what my fitness is like at this point, but there is at least a path forward to running again and getting to BCS in one piece and in some kind of race shape.

Did 45 minutes on the stationary bike this morning before all that this afternoon.

Houston. Not sure if you've heard. But we've had this innovative idea of gyms with indoor pools. Or outdoor heated pools
