Per the State, that has been moved officially to a "recommendation" not a requirement. Thank goodness. We got word at our gym yesterday.

Was this a requirement that just didn't have any enforcement behind it? I ask because my gym - name withheld to protect the potentially guilty - did not enforce it nor did they even mention it when giving me the run down of COVID-related measures. I had gloves with me the first couple of times I went but quit bringing them after it became apparent that no one was being required or asked to wear them.

Per a family friend, there were guidelines for gyms and then recommendations for patrons. This was under the recommendations for patrons. He called the person in charge at his Orange Theory, who was saying gloves were required "per the governor", and let them know that was in fact not the case.

It was required per the governor. Listen to his speech when he announced gyms reopening and it was on the guidelines that were originally put out. Guy that OT was correct. But it was not enforced at most gyms and was vague. And it was a stupid requirement

Here's the document he was referencing. Recommendation for patrons. Nothing in the corresponding document for facilities. OT quoted the governor; his reply was that the governors speech didn't match the documents.
