Hey all. I need to buy a heart rate monitor but was wondering if any of you have any recommendations. Really I'm not looking for anything fancy - just something that will measure time, BPM (average and max), waterproof, and preferably in the $60-$100 range (and on Amazon). Anybody have any experience with something that fits the bill?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Need GPS? Garmin Forerunner 10 is a little more but a solid basic HR/GPS watch.

Edit: never mind, the 10 doesn't have HR. I thought it did. The FR70 does though without GPS

No GPS or bells and whistles. Pretty much just something waterproof that will reliably track HR.

Actually, just went for the 310xt. Started researching the FR70 and was about to buy it then right below it on amazon was the 310xt. I had enough points for it so figured might as well.
