Lump on my tricep

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Guys, for the last few days I've noticed a very small lump on my right arm about 4 inches above the elbow and two inches behind the tricep line (long line of muscle you see when you flex your triceps that goes all the way down to the elbow). At any rate, I've noticed a small lump there deep under the skin that feels like a deep bruise. The lump is probably no larger than the diameter of a pen cap, but it feels like a bruise. It hasn't grown in size, or formed any sort of manifestation above the skin (i.e. pimple, etc.) other than the lump underneath that is causing the skin to rise.

Should I be worried about this? Has anybody ever had something like this? The pain is by no means unbearable, but at the same time, it's noticeable (pain wise) enough to where I'm noticing it.

Any help is much appreciated.

Any trauma to the area? Recent heavy workouts? What is the most painful movement? Any restriction in movement? Any redness or warmth in the area? How old are you?

aggiederelict,

I'm 37. Every workout I do is heavy, and I don't mean that to be boastful, but I do follow the Max OT workout where every set you do is between 4-6 reps of very heavy weight.

I've had no trauma to the area, and while it does feel like a bruise, it is not a bruise. There is no discoloration of the skin. In fact, there is nothing visible to anybody else but me, and that's only because I can feel something there and know where to look.

I can see a tiny lump when I'm under certain light, otherwise it's quite small, but is very tender to the touch, and feels like a bruise.

I'm not sure what to make of it.

i had something similar on my leg. i had a bump right above the knee on the back side of my thigh. There was no discoloration until 2 days after i noticed it. Doctor said it was just a bruise that I got from sitting down on the metal chairs at OTB just the right way with the right amount of force. I still have discloration and a bump but it seems to be getting better now.

I think what im trying to say is if you are really worried about it go to the doctor and have him see it or give it a few days and see if it goes away by itself or becomes discolored. Advice he gave me was that if it turns all red and is warm to the touch go the ER cause you probably have septicimia or the blood needs to be drained.
