Long story short, my wife wanted an older truck. I lucked into a 68 F100 and then a totaled 2019 Bullitt Mustang so a plan was born. Originally it was supposed to be just a drivetrain swap, but then it turned into rewiring, Vintage Air, Dakota Digital gauges, paint and bodywork, disc brakes, new trim, etc., and a nice interior which we're still working on.

I'm not ready for a Coyote or 7.3 swap in my 86 yet, but maybe in the next few years.

I have my grandfathers 68 Ford F-100. It was/is the same color blue but it had the white top of the cab and white on the lower fenders, doors and bed. It's also a short bed . He bought in spring of 68 and they came to my high school graduation. He flipped me the keys and said here take the truck but don't wreck it. It's in the restoration process and the frame, front end, engine, trans, rear end, brakes and suspension have been completed.
