Wife took my car that I use for work to run errands. Some idiot decided to cut in front of her and she was forced to slam on the breaks. C4 Montgomery told me the other driver was 100% at fault. Question for you auto guys, how screwed am I?

Well, you're in Montgomery, so at least there's a CHANCE the other guy has insurance. Cops wouldn't have even shown up if she was in Houston.

Worse, it was East Martin. Ford was a mess because of construction. Luckily the other guy has insurance. Which is rare for that area.

Question, what benefit is it if a cop shows up in a he said/she said situation? I've had a cop show up only one time when I got into a wreck, and the other driver, that turned left in front of me from a non-turning lane, only got a ticket for no insurance (Houston).

They never showed a year later when a driver turned right from a non-turning lane, with insurance but the driver was excluded, but luckily the damage showed well enough that I didn't just rear end them.

If it's a daily driver that runs around town all day you can't beat a Tesla and they don't use dealerships. Go shop at the showroom to decide what you want but you buy on the app. Most pain free car process I've ever had.

This. I was a "never non-ICE" guy until my wife got a Y. It has its limitations, but it's an ideal run around town car. She commutes 45 miles round trip to work and the car does all the work. It's the auto version of the easy button.

Really considering a Tesla, especially since there are so many charging stations in and around Houston. Definitely would save on gas since I drive from Porter to Downtown everyday for work.
