Because I am a responsible adult that makes good financial decisions I bought a new truck. The nicest truck I have ever owned, by far. I will never understand all the esoteric knobs and buttons, even with the giant touch screen. Im like a monkey with a iPhone. Im happy I have it, but not sure why.

Anyway, rule 1.

I got the new Hurricane I6 and a 33 gallon tank. Got just about every option other than the air ride suspension. Because options are good, or so I am told. The wife looks good in it. No rule 1 for that.

Edit,

Its the Rebel but without the exterior Rebel decals etc. Interior has seats with the Rebel stitching.

The 2nd car.

Ram is making a good looking truck these days but I can't get on board with twin turbo 6's and their etorque hemi.

Congratulations! Badass truck! I almost went with a Hurricane. For days I was locked into getting a Hurricane with the assumption it was diesel.

The easiest person to lie to is always yourself.

There was no way to justify buying it, but I did. I told myself some lies then signed the docs. It didn't help that my wife was pushing me to do it.

Martels Hammer: Howdy, I have done the same thing, bought a RAM 1500 Tungsten with the HO Hurricane in March. Love the truck! However the new vehicles with TEN THOUSAND possible settings for everything on the truck is bewildering. I spent two hours for two days just sitting in the truck and going through every possible setting. Some made sense and some I could not figure out as to why such and such an option is required. Also noticed that all owners manuals are now a pdf file, they are as long a read as War and Peace, which at least has a plot. I am now deathly afraid of what happens when there is an electrical glitch!

I am an OLD, remember learning to drive. Depress clutch, turn key, release clutch, drive. You could turn a knob to turn on radio, headlight dimmer was a button switch on the floor board. The only thing you could change was the radio station. Drove like that for many years without a problem.

Dunno if yours has the Passenger Screen or not. Mine does and for the life of me, cannot figure out what in the HELL we will ever use it for, much less how to connect it. Seems to be one of those life lessons like: 'Just because you can, Does not mean you should'.

The wife was excited about the passenger screen. but our first attempt at making work was a failure.

And the pdf files for a few things have left me scratching my head. My truck per google should have tire pressure of 55 psi for the front tires and 45 psi for the rear. But I can't seem to confirm that with the actual pdf manual. And even though several Ram owners forums all use the same numbers I don't have confidence the information is correct.

Does it not have a tire inflation placard located in the door frame?

I completely forgot about that. Yes my truck has that. And as odd as it sounds to me it is 55 and 45, which seems crazy high.

I just hit the 500 mile mark yesterday afternoon. So far it does not appear that I'm averaging 24 miles per gallon but something very close.

I'm hoping after the first oil change and a lighter foot I actually get to 24

Everyone worried about a 6cyl when our dads cruised in trucks with a 150hp 250ci straight six truck with a 3 speed

For people thinking about a Ram I have over 1000 miles now so maybe a little early but I really love this truck.

It drives so much better than my last truck. Love the i6. Still not getting 24mpg but i am getting 22ish with my driving style.

I am told, haven't confirmed, that the Ram has weights added on the frame at harmonic locations, to deaden vibration. Is this true?
